New Ravenna Unveils New Tidal Mosaic Tile Collection

La Mer (pictured above), is a bespoke mural design crafted in vibrant jewel glass tones immerses viewers in the brilliance and diversity of marine life.
Designed and created in New Ravenna’s Virginia studio, Tidal features nine distinctive designs inspired by the beauty and movement of water.
“When developing Tidal, it was no coincidence that the shoreline became our shared source of inspiration – we are, after all, surrounded by water on three sides,” says Jacquelyn Bizzotto, Lead Designer, at New Ravenna. “Together, Cean Irminger and I created nine designs, each evoking a unique mood – from the delicate, continuous bubbles of Seabreeze to the vibrant, playful energy of La Mer. Tidal offers textures and tones for every sea-loving soul, bringing a touch of the coast into any space.”

- Fantail features organic ombre blends and overlapping shapes that bring to mind the graceful fins of exotic fish or beds of sea lettuce dancing beneath the waves.
- Harbor captures the quiet rise and fall of water, with a design that mimics the gentle ebb and flow of the tide.
- Seabreeze draws inspiration from the ocean floor, featuring delicate, rising bubbles, suggesting a gentle upward movement.
- Flamestitch pays homage to the timeless textile pattern, reimagined to evoke the gentle motion of wind skimming the sea’s surface or the shifting designs left by a returning tide.
- Driftweave is inspired by poolside ease and coastal leisure. This pattern comes from striped beach towels, sun bleached cabanas and relaxing resorts.
- Kombu pays tribute to the organic tangle of seaweed and coral reefs, capturing the natural complexity and graceful movement beneath the waves.
- Tidewater captures the serene movement of the ocean, representing waves as they break into delicate foam and gently recede back into the sea.
- Shelby, with its pillowed texture and deco shell motif offers subtle patterning and a playful nod to quilted upholstery.

Cean Irminger, lead designer at New Ravenna says “As a community that is nestled between the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, it’s no surprise that water is an endless source of inspiration to us all. We have returned to explore its creative depths with Tidal, a collection that illuminates the many facets of life in and around the water. We employed our full arsenal of techniques, tones and textures to capture the ever-changing nature of the sea.”
