Gardenia Orchidea’s Pietra Viva

Italian tile manufacturer Gardenia Orchidea recently launched two new collections — Pietra Viva and La Geoteca — that combine technological innovations with Italian design.

Unveiled during Coverings 2023, the company showcased its exclusive P.tech and 3DTech technologies. P.tech is designed to achieve the highest anti-slip coefficients and guarantees exceptional ease of cleaning. The innovative 3DTech process allows for the application of thick coatings of different ceramic materials in perfect alignment with the high-definition digital graphic designs, creating surfaces with extraordinary sensorial qualities and highly realistic natural effects.

As such, Gardenia Orchidea has used these technologies to produce Pietra Viva, a new ceramic tile collection inspired by Ceppo dell’Adda, a decorative stone conglomerate of fluvial origin whose aesthetic qualities are a perfect fit for contemporary architecture. The Antique 3D versions are particularly eye-catching and recreate the look of stone polished by many years of foot traffic.

Gardenia Orchidea’s exploration of the world of mining continues with La Geoteca, a collection of 10 stone surfaces suitable for different design requirements. The collection consists of large slabs and their submultiples in a thickness of just 6 mm. The surfaces, produced using P.tech technology, have a pleasant touch and are ideal for use in public and commercial areas, including wellness and outdoor spaces.
