Clayhaus Ceramics Named a Finalist in Martha Stewart's American Made Audience Choice Awards

Portland-based artisan ceramic tile maker Clayhaus Ceramics has been named a finalist in the 2015 Martha Stewart American Made Audience Choice Awards. The awards program celebrates the growing maker movement by identifying and promoting those passionate entrepreneurs who have turned a passion for handcrafted, well-designed goods into businesses and who proudly make their products in the USA.

Finalists representing a wide range of home-related crafts and foodstuffs were selected by a panel of judges including Martha Stewart herself. The finalists were selected on a combination of criteria including originality/creativity, workmanship, appearance, and embodiment of the American-made theme. Clayhaus is the only ceramic tile maker in the pool of finalists.

The finalists are now competing for the opportunity to attend the Martha Stewart America Made event in New York City; an opportunity to be featured in the the American Made Market, and $10,000 to help grow the winner’s business. The ultimate winner(s) are chosen by a vote of the Martha Stewart American Made audience.

The voting period began September 21 and runs through October 19, 2015. “We are proud to have been recognized as a finalist,” Clayhaus VP of sales and marketing Megan Coleman said. “It would be absolutely thrilling if our fans and supporters can generate enough votes for us to be a winner.”
